Introduction to Digital Implant Planning. Tips and Tricks for the General Practice

A combination of comprehensive diagnostic tools such as cone beam computerised tomography (CBCT) and implant planning software available nowadays allows practitioners to preview the operation site before surgery.

Using 3Shape Implant Studio, Darren will attempt to highlight certain protocols and workflows to ease the start into Digital Implant Planning, whilst optimizing the prosthetic outcome.

A section on obtaining ideal scans and CBCTs will also be discussed.

About the Speaker

Dr Darren Lee has been practicing since 2003 and is a Clinical Director of a group Dental Practice.
Darren has a keen interest especially in many aspects of digital dentistry.

A firm believer in constant upgrading, this spurs him on in discovering new methods to providing modern dentistry for everyone - patients, fellow dental professionals and dental team members as well!
Darren is an Executive Committee member of the College of General Dental Practitioners Singapore (CGDP) and is an advocate of Continuing Dental Education.

He is also a Key Opinion Leader for 3Shape and is adept at digital dentistry, having spoken for them on numerous occasions.

Darren has been using 3Shape Implant Studio for about 4years since it’s arrival in Singapore.

He uses implant studio for every implant case for planning. Darren has used fully guided surgery for numerous systems but primarily for Bicon, Astra and Straumann.

Darren advocates digital implant planning regardless of whether you end up using a fully guided system or not.
